Based on previous experiential work with Disney, I was invited to work on THE flagship ride for the Galaxy’s Edge (the Star Wars attraction at Disneyland). As the external developer, I was product owner for physical/digital UX and UI integration and championed the user journey.
The UI interface was designed in After Effects and brought into reality using a combination of Unity development, custom microcontroller boards and a mind-bending number of outboard sensors. Additional development was created to facilitate communication between projected display and internal scoring systems.
Getting to see it realised on a accurately-scaled Millennium Falcon is a dream come true.
