To coincide with the launch of The Lion Guard, I worked with both Franchise and Channel teams to deliver a high profile event at Westfield London. Due to an extremely short deadline, The Lion Guard experience was completed within a three-week window and comprised of five digital interactive activities and physical toolkits.
A bespoke full-body Kinect controlled game was developed for the experience and featured several webcam photo-opportunities players could pick from. The game was concurrently running three sessions full-time throughout the exhibition and a custom network setup to route all photos to an automated printing station.
A microphone-controlled interactive experience was also developed so groups of up to 5 guests could shout to progress the on-screen narrative and upon successful completion, an Arduino-enabled system would initiate a DMX light system and audio to indicate the ‘Roar of the Elder’s’ had been activated.
To compliment the digital experiences, I was also involved in the design and development of several physical play spaces including crafting stations and the Hyena Den: a tactile sensory experience.
